Joey-1

MiniRouter and Joey-1 by Baseten, separated by a silver fold of light on black.

Joey-1 is a 2B decision model from Baseten's Base Labs. It evaluates a shared text context against typed questions and returns probabilities and confidence rather than free-form answers.

Joey-1 is not in MiniRouter’s catalog. This article covers the publisher’s announcement. Browse available models for current API access.

About the model

  • Model size: 2B parameters. Built for decisions in a single forward pass.
  • Context window: 16,384 tokens. Text input.
  • Question types: Choice, yes/no and ordered scores. Applications receive typed decision results.
  • Output: Probabilities and confidence. No free-form text generation.

Vercel AI Gateway pricing

Vercel lists $0.01 per million input tokens. Joey-1 does not generate completion tokens; this is upstream pricing, not a MiniRouter offer.

Before you use it

Use decision models for tasks such as ticket classification, request routing and checking an answer against a rubric. A decision API takes context and typed questions rather than chat messages.
